Concessão Seguida de Refutação

The concessive conjunctions bien que and quoique, which require the subjunctive, are studied in subjunctive after conjunctions of concession. In formal argumentation, a point is often conceded explicitly before being refuted by a stronger counter‑argument. The classic pair for this rhetorical move is certes (admittedly, it is true that) followed by mais or néanmoins (nevertheless).

Introduza o contra-argumento: Mais / néanmoins / cependant / pourtant.
Conclua com a tese principal.

Exemplo: Certes, a peça é bem interpretada. Néanmoins, a montagem está muito estática, e o conjunto falta de fôlego. Esta estrutura é extremamente comum em críticas literárias, ensaios acadêmicos e relatórios profissionais.
